is only for thinnings of broadleave plantations.
Steps
• First step is to find out if you have a felling license.
• If you do then you can apply for this grant. If you don’t have a
felling license then we can apply for it and this grant at the same
time .
• Typically this application is approved within 2 months.
• Once it is approved the site can be start to be harvested, this will
be to Forest Service standard which varies depending on the species..
• If it is a second thinning then tree marking needs to take place
before harvesting, this is to identify the final crop trees.
• On the site is finished being thinned then the Woodland improvement
can be signed off and the paperwork can be submitted to the department
and payment can be received from the department.
